We believe that a swim school is only as good as the instructor that you get for you child. When a parent wants to sign up for swim lessons they are able to view an instructor profile along with a rating system based off prior client reviews of that specific instructor. Along with this rating system, we also rate our instructor from level 1 - level 5. Every instructor has their own strengths and areas of expertise. With this in mind, parents have the ability to choose which instructo is right for their child, and for their price point. Our Level 1 instructors have met the minimum requirements for Swim Instructors, would be the newest and least experienced instructors, but they are also the least expensive. If a parent chooses a level 1 instructor over a level 3 instructor, and they attend 2x per week, they would be saving 13.64% per month off of our current prices. Instructor Levels and Requirements
- Level 1: CPR / WSI / a minimum 2 star rating on profile
- Level 2: CPR / WSI / a minimum 3 star rating on profile
- Level 3: CPR / WSI / LG / Certified in either IT, ASCA Coaches Training, or Special
needs / 1 year prior teaching experience / a minimum 3 star rating on profile - Level 4: CPR / WSI / LG / ASCA –Stroke Technique Certification /Certified in either IT or Special needs / 3 years prior teaching experience / a minimum 3 star rating on profile
- Level 5: CPR / WSI / LG / ASCA –Stroke Technique Certification /Certified IT / Certified Special needs / 5 years prior teaching experience / a minimum 4 star rating on profile
Certifications Definitions
ASCA: American Swimming Coaches Association. Levels 1-5
CPR: American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
IT: Infant/Toddler: United States Swim SChool Association Toddler levels 1-2
LG: American Red Cross Life Guard Certificate
Special Needs: Starfish Aquatic Instructor Adapted Aquatics Instructor Crediting Program
STAR: Safety Training and Aquatic Rescue credited by Starfish Aquatic Institute
WSI: Water Safety Institute, certified through the American Red Cross / STARFISH Aquatic institute
Below are the new prices for 2011. Level 3 instructors are the current prices for what Atlantis Aquatics has billed for in 2010. Levels 1 and 2 are less expensive than our current prices while Levels 4 and 5 are more expensive.
